Captain Wendy Bowman is a fire and EMS captain with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Fire and Rescue Department and is stationed at Dulles International Airport. Captain Bowman has almost 40 years of experience in emergency services. She began her fire service career as a volunteer where she found her calling. She has been a career firefighter/paramedic for twenty-two years. Captain Bowman is a member of her department's peer support team and has spent many years educating her peers on the importance of taking care of their mental well-being. When she is not working or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids.
