Marc Eckstein, MD, MPH, is the co-founder and CEO of Tele911, Inc, which integrates telemedicine and patient navigation into the EMS system. Dr. Eckstein is a nationally recognized leader with over 35 years of experience in EMS and Emergency Medicine. Serving as the Medical Director and EMS Bureau Commander of the Los Angeles Fire Department for over 25 years, he created and implemented many innovative and life-saving programs, including a new 911 EMS dispatch system, a Mobile Integrated Health Unit, Advanced Providers in the field, and a Telemedicine Program.
Dr. Eckstein is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He has published over 200 peer reviewed journal articles and abstracts, has lectured around the world on EMS, emergency medicine, and disaster medicine, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including EMS Medical Director of the Year and EMS Innovator of the Year. He also has a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Homeland Security.
