Dr. Peaslee is a physicist at the University of Notre Dame who has developed a rapid spectroscopic method for measuring fluorine in various materials. His research group searches for the prevalence and fate of fluorine-containing chemicals in consumer products and various environmental matrices such as groundwater, soils and plants. He has over 200 peer-reviewed publications to date, most with student co-authors, and is a Fellow of the American Chemical Society.
