About Us

The Florida Fire Chiefs' Association's Safety and Health Conference is an annual event that offers attendees access to leading industry topics that advocate higher standards for the safety and overall wellness of first responders within the fire service.

The Florida Fire Chiefs' Association (FFCA) is comprised of a membership of professionals from both career and volunteer fire departments throughout the state of Florida and surrounding areas. The FFCA hosts annual events with experts from throughout the country and occasionally from abroad, bringing prevalent issues and innovative solutions to our local fire and rescue services, emergency management, and public safety professionals.

FFCA Safety and Health Section

This committee monitors and analyzes issues related to fire service safety and health including federal and state legislation, national standards and other health and safety-related trends as they apply to the Florida fire service. The section develops educational and supports material for use by the members of the FFCA and the Florida fire service with the goal of increasing firefighter occupational safety and health.
