Dr. Edwards is a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider. He received his Master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University (2011), and is a Doctoral degree from Trevecca Nazarene University (2016). Derrick’s research focus surrounds the psychological impacts of being an emergency responder. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Tennessee Tech University and a counselor in clinical practice. Derrick joined the fire service in 2004 and is a licensed Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
